Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
This policy explains what information Video Engine (operated by ELVTE LLC, "we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Video Engine website and app. See also our Terms of Service.
The short version
- Your video files stay on your computer. We don't upload or store them.
- We store your account details and the work you save (like clip timings, captions and settings) so your projects open on any computer.
- Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your full card number.
- If you connect YouTube, we only post the videos you choose to post.
- We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and password (stored securely by our authentication provider), plus optional details you give us at sign-up, such as your artist, label or company name, what you'll use the Service for, and how you heard about us.
- Billing details: your plan, subscription status and billing history. Your card details are collected and stored by Stripe, not by us.
- Your saved work: the decisions you make in the app, such as project and campaign names, clip start and end times, captions and lyrics, quotes, framing and style settings, which song plays where, and the names of the video files you used.
- Songs you save: if you add a song to your account, we store that audio file privately so you can reuse it. You can delete it anytime.
- Usage: what you use and when (for example, videos exported and transcription time), to apply your plan's monthly limits, plus basic technical logs (like IP address and browser type) that our hosting providers keep for security and troubleshooting.
- Messages you send us: if you email support, we keep that conversation.
What we don't collect
Your video files are not uploaded to our servers. Recent videos you work with are kept only in your browser's storage on your own computer, so a project can reopen them; you can clear them anytime from the home page or by clearing your browser's site data.
Material sent to service providers to make features work
Some features need to send limited material to a trusted service provider, only when you use them:
- Captions (transcription): the audio of the part you transcribe is sent to a speech-to-text provider, which returns the words and their timing.
- Finding clips, writing quotes and translating captions: the relevant text (such as a transcript, your topic or your captions) is sent to a text-processing provider, which returns the result.
- Stock backgrounds: your search words are sent to stock libraries (such as Pexels and Coverr) to find footage.
We keep the results you save (like captions), not the audio. Under their business terms, these providers process the material to provide the service to us, not to advertise to you.
Posting to YouTube (YouTube API Services)
If you choose to connect your YouTube channel, Video Engine uses YouTube API Services so it can post finished videos to your channel when you ask it to. By connecting, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your information is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
- What we access: permission to upload videos to your channel, and your channel's name, ID and picture so we can show which channel is connected. We don't read your other videos, comments, analytics or subscribers.
- How we use it: only to upload the videos you choose to post, with the title, description and visibility you set.
- What we store: your channel's name, ID and picture, and an access key from Google, which we keep encrypted. We don't keep copies of the videos you post.
- Sharing: we don't sell or share this information, and we don't use it for advertising.
- Removing access: click Disconnect on your Account page, which deletes the stored key and asks Google to revoke it. You can also remove access anytime in your Google Account permissions.
Video Engine's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How we use information
- to run your account, save your work and provide the features you use;
- to process payments, apply plan limits and prevent fraud or abuse;
- to send account and service emails (like email confirmation, password resets and billing notices);
- to answer support requests and improve the Service; and
- to meet legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We share information only with providers that help us run the Service, under agreements that limit how they can use it: hosting and database providers, Stripe for payments, an email provider, spam protection on our sign-up form (Cloudflare Turnstile), and the feature providers described above. We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a sale or merger of our business. We don't sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Cookies and browser storage
We use cookies that are needed to keep you signed in. The app also uses your browser's storage for things like your light or dark mode choice and your recent videos. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and saved work while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account details, saved work and saved songs, except records we must keep for tax, accounting or legal reasons (such as billing history).
Your choices and rights
You can update your details and cancel your subscription from your Account page, and delete saved songs and recent videos in the app. You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your personal information by emailing support@elvte.biz. If you live in California or another place with privacy laws, you have these rights under those laws, and we won't treat you differently for using them.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and reputable providers to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Children
The Service isn't for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy. If a change is significant, we'll let you know by email or in the Service.
